X Money and Payday
X Money pays the US. Payday pays everyone else.
X Money lets people on X send and receive money. It's a good idea with one limit: it only works for people in the United States. Most people on X live somewhere else. A coin launched for someone in Lagos, Manila, São Paulo or London can earn real creator fees that X Money can't deliver to them.
Payday pays everyone else, in their own money.
What happens on Payday
| Step | On Payday |
|---|---|
| Fees are routed to their handle | Yes, 100% of the coin's creator fees, locked on-chain |
| They can claim | Anywhere we can legally send: see the rails |
| How they're paid | Their own country's way: UPI, Pix, bank transfer, M-Pesa, GCash, PayPal, cash pickup and more |
| What they need | Their X account and one detail, like a UPI ID. No wallet, no app. |
| How long the money waits | 90 days, and the clock resets whenever they claim |
| If it isn't claimed | A charity in their country receives it, in their name. We post it. |
| What Payday keeps | Nothing. The 15% fee on payouts is spent on buying and burning $PAYDAY. |
Side by side
| X Money | Payday | |
|---|---|---|
| Who can be paid | People in the US | Everyone, in 40+ countries and counting |
| Paid in | US dollars | Their own currency |
| Paid through | An X Money balance | Local rails: UPI, Pix, SEPA, M-Pesa, GCash, bank transfer, plus PayPal, cash pickup, gift cards and digital dollars |
| Unclaimed money | Depends on the service using it | 100% to a charity in the person's country, in their name |
If X Money goes global
We'd welcome it. If X Money reaches a country, Payday can add it as one more way to get paid there, next to UPI or M-Pesa. People would choose. See What can go wrong.
